After the 12th general election, and all the by-elections Malaysia has been through, the popularity of the Oppositions in Parliament has increased significantly. But in my personal view watching MP's debating Bills tabled in the Parliament, there are MP's, especially from the Oppositions, are 'attention-seekers'. They said they represents the rakyat, but all I can see is stupid questions being raised so that the rakyat can see that they are 'working'. Haha. How funny.
And ironically, because the Government do not have the power it used to have anymore, any Bills that being tabled will not get the green light easily like before. Yeah, on certain aspects, it is a good sign so that any Bills that passed, the rakyat will get the benefits from it. But from what aspects can we see it from when MP's questioning the Bills like a clown? And almost everytime, I mean ALMOST, these MP's will relate the Bills with the Opposition's advisor cases? Like for instance, the DNA Act Bill. The MP's from the Opposition knew what I'm talking about.
Karpal Singh.
Everyone knows him. The lawyer-cum-politician who suggested that the police force should interviewing witnesses only within the office hours limits, like the MACC. Come on Karpal, you sounded stupid already. Do you think that the criminals will only do their 'jobs' within office hours and after 5 p.m, will go home to their families and have dinner together, spending time with their childrens? Another funny, illogical story, if it's true.
The police force, and any enforcement agency in this matter, should only be answering to the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, and not you, Karpal or anyone else. If I may use my logic, if I'm the chief commisioner for MACC, would I want my witness to be dead? Even though his statements were highly important to the case that we are investigating at the moment? No, right? What for? So maybe, just maybe, there are other people that would love to see Teoh Beng Hock vanished from this world for their safety...and it is not the Government.
I do not want to disrespect Teoh Beng Hock or any of his family in any way at all, but for me, there are some quarters that using this issue to manipulate the situation for their gain.
Because of the popularity of the Opposition that they had gained for the past year, the Government under our PM has been making sure that the rakyat will get everything that they want. The rakyat want their voice to be heard, our PM bowed down and listen. Even though sometimes it was just a waste of time to listen to everybody, he has to do it. Why? Because he did not want when the 13th general election comes, the Government fall. He wants to ensure that the Government will still relevant to the rakyat. This is where the Opposition played their part, making small issues big so that the rakyat can see that they 'worked very hard' for the rakyat. Yeah, right.
I'm not saying that the government is true all the time, but after the last general election, our political scene has been in turmoil. By-elections keep coming in, and sometimes I wonder, when will all the promises that had been made in the last general election be fulfilled?Hmmm....
For all it's worth, this is only from the eye of an ordinary rakyat who loves his country very, very much.
Till then...
